The festival dates back to the International Women's Year organized by the United Nations in 1975 and has been celebrated globally on 8 March since then, honoring the outstanding contributions and breakthroughs made by women around the world in the economic, political and social spheres.

On this day, no matter where they are in the world, regardless of their nationality, race, language, cultural background, economic status and political position, women will transcend the boundaries of geography and identity, jointly focus on the protection of women's rights, celebrate the rise and achievements of women's power, and promote the progress of gender equality.

The history of Women's Day

In the 19th century in Western society, due to the relatively low social status of women due to long-standing gender inequality, some brave women began to stand up and speak out, actively advocating and advocating that women should enjoy the same universal rights as men. This series of awakenings and actions led to the rise of the first large-scale feminist movement in history, which not only challenged the traditional distribution of gender roles, but also fought for women's equal rights in many fields, including law, education, work, and political participation, and laid the foundation for future generations to fight for gender equality.

In this wave, countless women bravely stepped out of their homes and resolutely stepped onto the streets, and with their firm conviction and unremitting actions, they made a deafening voice for their rights and interests and even those of all women. This not only marks the awakening and improvement of women's self-awareness, but also shows that women's resolute defense and active struggle for equal rights have profoundly influenced and changed the face of the world.
